Riding is one of those few sports, which you can practice exclusively for fun and not necessarily for exercise, with the goal of being fit. In this sport you combine physical exercise with the love for animals; you try out new and unimaginable sensations, while communicating with your play “partner”.
This escape in the nature, together with the positive energy of these wonderful animals will set you free and will give you back your psychical balance.
Riding is a unique experience from many points of view: physical, emotional and relational, psychological, social etc. The connection with a big animal has a profound effect upon a person. Beside the experience to establish an emotional bond, horses provide thousands of new, sensorial experiences.
The Icelandic horse is a breed of horse developed in Iceland. Although the horses are small, at times pony-sized, most registries for the Icelandic refer to it as a horse. Icelandic horses are long-lived and hardy. In their native country they have few diseases. The ancestors of the Icelandic horse were probably taken to Iceland by the Vikings between 860 and 935 AD. Introduction to horseriding
This is our special package for beginners. The cours includes three riding lessons, each of them takes atleast 60 minutes. At the end of the cours the participant can securely ride icelandics and can go for longer trips.
Horse games for kids
This is a one hour riding lesson for children. It includes a short walk with the horse, tooling and horse care basics.
Half day riding tour
Take a half day trip from Ivo and spend some beautifull hours horse riding in Transylvania's famous Székely region. It's a unique opportunity to explore the beautiful Székely countryside, which is famous for its traditional farms. Led by your friendly and knowledgeable English speaking guide you will be taken on horseback into the Harghita region. You will ride for 4 hours (including training) through Middle Age villages, untouched forests, and green fields seeing the Transylvanian landscapes at their best. At the end of the tour you can try out our mountain tea speciality made of local herbs.
One day riding tour
Riding an Icelandic horse is something you have to experience at least once in your life. From Ivo you can enjoy the friendly horses on excellent riding paths. Ride through small rivers and along beautiful green hillsides. Admire the traditional landscape of Transylvania while experiencing the special gait, tölt. This tour is recommended for more experienced riders. Departures: Daily at 08:00 from the riding ranch in Ivo (depends on weather and season). Please contact us before your arrival. In our one day riding tour a traditional picnic is included with a cold beer or water for the participants.
Individual Riding Lessons
This is a one hour riding lessons for adults and children (over 8 years old) - to the tall and small ones, to beginners and experienced ones.

Our Bronze package includes a 5 half day tours and 1 One day tour.
Silver package
Our Silver package includes a 12 half day tours or 6 one day tour.
Gold package
Our Gold package includes a 52 half day tours or 26 day tours.
The riding packages can not be used for our multiple day riding tours.
